We’ve probably all tasted at least one plant milk – almond, rice or oat – which is a great substitute for the cow’s milk we usually eat. Today, we suggest you make and taste cannabis milk. Hemp milk is made from unhulled hemp seeds, which are extremely nutritious and rich in essential Omega-3 and Omega-6 fatty acids in a 1:3 ratio, one of the best ratios in any plant crop. Hemp seeds are also packed with a wide range of macro- and micronutrients, from potassium to phosphorus, but the most abundant is vitamin B3 – niacin. You will need:
1 l of water
½-1 cup unhulled hemp seeds
A pinch of salt (optional)
Your favourite sweetener (optional)
In the evening, soak the seeds in water and leave them to soak for 8-10 hours. Rinse the seeds, put them in a food processor, add water and pulse until the water turns white or the seeds turn soft. Strain the resulting milk through a thick cheesecloth. Season with a pinch of salt, your favourite sweetener or enjoy the natural taste of hemp milk. Store tightly in the fridge. Consume within one week.
